Trunk Show

This Friday, November 18, MODA, the fashion magazine of the University of Chicago, will be hosting a trunk show showcasing local designers - [meen kyole] is one of them.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you all to come and see us - and the other exhibitors - for a chat about your style and your fashion favourites.

The show will be held at
Hutchinson Commons
Hyde Park, 1135 E. 57th Street
Chicago, IL 60637

It begins at 7.00 and ends at 10.00, and we will be serving snacks and refreshing beverages. Admission is free, so come and see what Chicago fashion has to offer!

Chicago Fashion Foundation

Great things are afoot in Chicago fashions!

Chicago Fashion Foundation was founded only a few years ago in order to further the fashion industry in Chicago. Now it is a growing organization with a steadily increasing influence on the fashion scene in Chicago. And I have just become a board member as the new Membership Committee/Students Chair. Thus I will be working to broaden and consolidate the foundation of our organization and hopefully help further new creativity and fresh ideas get a voice in an otherwise turbulent business.

During the Chicago Fashion Focus Week, the CFF hosted several successful events, and it is our hope that we will be able to not only keep doing so, but also add to the number of events and attendees.

While Chicago is the third largest city in this country, it has not managed to become a fashion centre in spite of the numerous fashion institutions that it plays host to. It is our hope that we can help create an evironment, which future makers of fashion will want to stay in, will feel privilleged to have emerged in, and which will attract people from around the world.

What's Going On?

Well, it's been a while since our last posting - what can I say, we've been busy.

We've moved north to Rogers Park. We found our dream place on the shores of Lake Michigan on a quiet tree lined street with parks and beaches galore. Sounds like a bad real estate line, well, to us it's just wonderful!

The new [meen kyole] address is:

7631 N Eastlake Terrace, Suite 3C
Chicago, IL 60626

- and the new phone number is 773-338-6130.

We're a little further away from the hustle and bustle that is downtown Chicago and the hip and happening neighbourhoods of Lincoln Park, Lakeview, and Wrigleyville, however, our beautiful surroundings will most certainly inspire our creativeness.

Now that we're all moved in and have almost everything set up right, we look forward to welcoming everyone into our new surroundings. Hope to see you soon!
